Always lovely food. Atmosphere amazing. This particular evening there was a great entertainer in. Well worth a visit. Even if they wont burn my lasagne lol.
Decided to pop in on for a last minute birthday drink on a Thursday night. Wasn't expecting much after some pretty poor drinks on previous visits. The Trooper Light Brigade was a fantastic brew so decide to stay for a meal. I opted for the burger while my folks had the scampi and jalfrezi. Quite simply one if the best pub burgers I've had for the price, and the onion rings... oh Lord, the onion rings, next time I will order and extra portion. Jalfrezi was spicy but not too hot. Me Pa thoroughly enjoyed the scampi and for once cleaned his plate. We'll definitely be back, and regularly.

Lunchtime sandwich and a soft drink. Good value for money but thick bread which would have been better for toast. Helpful and friendly service.
